Eileen, I love your Dad's portrait. He looks like a wonderful man who knew how to smile and share a rich life with those around him. The acorn does not fall far from the tree. My sincere sympathies to you and your family. By the way, what was your father's favorite pastry from your kitchen? Tom

Dear Eileen,
what a wonderful portrait of your father. I hope you will always remember him like he looked in this great photo.
Dieter and I would like to express our sympathy. It is a pity we never met him.
Take care
Maria and Dieter

Wanting to count the blessings of having such a wonderful dad with you! What a great photo of a sweet looking man. I am sure the joy of commemorating his 90th birthday (and sharing it with us) is a wonderful salute to the man you love and were fortunate enough to call "Daddy". Heartfelt condolences to all.

Thank you everyone for your comforting words. He was a great father and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

Tom: I couldn't tell you what my father's favorite pastry/dessert was that I made for him. My mother was a great baker and I remember a new dessert each day of the year, each year of my life. I was up against some tough competition!

God Bless you. I pray for you. May God bless you with peace and joyful memories ever day of you life. (I selfishly miss you and your baking inspirations--I planted a rosemary urn this summer and named it 'Passions') take care Camille

Eileen,
So sorry for your loss. Prayers to you. Your photos struck a nostalgic note for me. Took me back to my childhood years in Ames. My father passed away many years ago at this time of year. Always a reflective time for me. Steve
